How can I test fresh vegetables and fruit for vitamin content?
Is there any products i can make/buy that are used for testing? Are they accurate?

- GE sells a system called the Qflex that tests for the following: • Biotin • Folic Acid • Pantothenic Acid • Vitamin B2 • Vitamin B12 However, it sounds and looks like lab equipment and doesn't come with a price tag, so I'm thinkin' it's pretty darn expensive and outside the range of the typical consumer. Vitamin C content is determined through titrations, which is a lengthy scientific process. All of these tests involve destroying at least whatever amount of the food you test. In addition, it sounds like research labs are still working to determine the true vitamin contents of many foods (see book excerpt from chestofbooks.com) so the consumer can't really hope to see a home test any time in the near future. There's really no feasible way to test for vitamin content at home.
