What are tips for getting vegetarian food in France?
I'm going to France on holiday and I was wondering, what are ways of asking for vegetarian food or vegetarian alternatives at restaurants and what are the names of non-vegetarian things that could be found in foods, e.g. gelatine in yoghurts or rennet in cheeses. Thanks!

- Here's a link for some vegetarian restaurants in France: http://www.happycow.net/europe/france/ http://www.frenchentree.com/fe-vegetarians/ If you plan on cooking there here's a list of vegetarian french recipes: http://www.theveggietable.com/recipes/frenchrecipes.html
- Say... Je suis une vegetarien. Je ne mange pas des viandes, et des poissions. If they say... Poission n'est pas viande..... walk away. Yaourts might have gelatin over there. I'm going there in June and I haven't been there yet. You can get a salade. Une salade n'avec pas des anchoix. (a salad without anchovies). I guess you either speak French or are learning French.
- you know as a french and a chef i can tell you that we re not into the vegetarianism so much as london so stick to the veg dish and dont be too facy if you dont want your food to fell on the floor or you plate to be mess with get a life
