What kind of fresh vegetables, if any, can I feed my fish?
I have a community tank with swordtails, mollies, platys, danios, corys, a pleco, and some tetras Can they eat any dried vegetables? Can I feed them raw vegetables, or do they need to be prepared in anyway?

- My fish eat lettuce.
- Romaine lettuce and zucchini or cucumber are excellent choices. Your pleco needs the fresh foods, and your livebearers will enjoy them as well. Dried veggies: Well, I'm not sure about regular type dried veggies, but many fish stores sell dried seaweed which is very good for your fish.
- Guppies are omnivores, just as humans. You can try veggie flakes. But egg yokes, mosquito larvae and/or brine shrimp is good for them because they need the essential fats and amino acids and a balanced diet consisting of both greens and meat. Guppies can overeat too, so feed them just enough for nourishment and proper nutrients. Here's a site listing diets, products and treats, but most of them include other animals. http://guppyplace.tripod.com/Feeding.htm... There are also aquarium fish that are herbivores, these include: *Mollies - Algae-eater that also eats vegetables such as spinach. Will also accept flakes. (Your best bet as these are easy to care for, and very closely related to guppies - not as easy to reproduce, but they can and do when conditions are right) http://www.wetwebmedia.com/FWSubWebIndex... * Farowella - Eats vegetable tablets and algae. * Pacu - Prefers fresh vegetables, will eat vegetable flakes and fruits. * Silver Dollar - Feed fresh vegetables, vegetable flakes and tablets. * Tropheus - Acccepts algae, plants, spirulina, vegetable flakes.
