2. Buy just what you need for 2 days at a veggie shop so that it stays fresh. Don't rely on delivery, if they are picking your produce themselves. They won't be as selective as you.
3. Do a search on Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) to locate a local farm. With a CSA membership, you purchase a share of the crops from a local farm. Some will delivery right to the home, but most have pick up points and you select the one closest to your home or work. I've used CSA's for most of my produce for about 6 years now. It's so much fresher than what you get in the store. Plus every season there are some new foods that I've never tried before.
