  1. Buy cans of beans and a can of corn, whichever you like, mix a drained can of beans with a drained can of corn, add chopped onion, green pepper and garlic and toss with olive oil...salad! Also look for hummus, and yogurt...soy milk...Boca brand vege burgers, etc... Don't forget the fresh vegetables too...
  2. i like to add tofu so many things i prepare. a quick stir fry, or fried and cubed and added to a salad of greens and drained, rinsed off canned beans
  3. Go to whole foods, they have a variety of vegan foods and ideas
  4. Tofu: The Incredible Edible Sponge! Tofu is great because there's so many things you can do with it. Try cutting it into slices and frying it in soy sauce. Then throw it on some sandwich bread with your favorite condiments. =)
  5. I really don't care for boca burgers (to me they just have a really gross taste that I can only swallow if I drown it with ketchup), but morningstar farm brand has been a life saver for me, and at least here in New Hampshire it's available in all supermarkets. I love their chik'n nuggets (or patties!), garden burgers, and fake hot dogs. These things are no more difficult to prepare than their meat counterparts, and even my non-vegetarian friends/family like the fake chicken. Also just picking up a few cans of beans, they have specifically vegetarian refried beans too (taco bell brand are vegetarian even though it doesn't specifically say it, or I think it may be Old El Paso brand says VEGETARIAN right on the front) if you like mexican food. Make a bean and cheese burrito, or get black beans, corn, tomatoes, and cheese, and grill up a quesadilla. As for fake deli meats I've liked fake balogna but that's the only one. I can't remember which brand, my guess is Yves. But it's nice for a good balogna and cheese sandwich either hot or cold. Make sure though that you don't get too many of these things at once though unless other people will be helping you eat them. The chik'n patties and hot dogs stay frozen nicely for quite a while but the veggie balogna only lasts for a few days before you have to toss it. Enjoy = )

The put the tofu in the pan and brown each side of it. Next, add the veggies. Add a little soy sauce and put in the rice. Hummus- chick peas, lemon juice, paprika, cumin, black pepper, and any other spices/seasonings you like Puree the chick peas. Then add a little lemon juice, paprika, pepper, and other spices.
