Are frozen vegetables just as nutricious as fresh vegetables?
If not, please explain why. And what about frozen berries?

- Some of the nutrients and enzymes are lost, but not as significantly as cooking. Frozen berries take well in the freezer.
- No. Frozen veges are partially cooked, this removes some nutrients.
- I would say frozen vegs are way better than the produce at the grocery store. The store's produce has been sitting there for days. With every passing day, the veggies lose vitamins. Frozen items are supposed to be picked at the ripest period and then quickly frozen. I pick up frozen items and get other items from the farmer's market. Frozen berries are good too- and you won't have any to throw out like you would if you bought them from the grocery store.
- Nothing is as nutritious as fresh produce. Period. Go organic when possible. All the nutritional benefits aren't worth consuming pesticides! (Migrant farm workers have an average life expectancy of 49. They have a nasty habit of dying from cancer due to pesticides) Most frozen produce is partially cooked prior to freezing, to increase its shelf life. Cooking, freezing, and canning kill enzymes, vitamins and minerals. Frozen produce is less processed than canned however, so if these are your options, go frozen. Berries lose nutrients from processing, but many times of the year frozen is all that is available. It's better than not eating berries- chock full of vitamins and anti-oxidents.
- equal but caned arer trash.
