Vegetarians ??

Why do vegetarians still eat fish? [i'm pretty sure vegans do not] when they're still killing an animal?

1. If vegetarians eat fish....then they most certainly are not vegetarians.......they're hypocrites.
2. Vegetarians do not eat fish or any other animals. Some people only eat fish, no other meats. People like this are called pescetarians. Pescetarianism is NOT a type of vegetarianism though.

5. Vegetarians do not eat fish. They also do not eat cows, pigs, chickens, puppies, sheep, goats, deer, squirrels or horses.... If it was once alive (eats, breathes and moves) then vegetarians do not eat it. Vegans do not eat any animals, anything derived from animals, like eggs and milk, or use animal products like leather.

8. Vegetarians don't eat fish. The fact that some people eat fish and call themselves vegetarians, doesn't make them vegetarians and doesn't define vegetarianism.
9. There are many people out there who label themselves as vegetarians, yet they still eat fish - I think this is who the asker was speaking of. I would never call myself a vegetarian if I ate fish - it is a complete contradiction.
