- Go to your local supermarket and you will loads of produce shipped in from Spain.
- Mainly the same ones we get here, but because their weather is better the seasons last longer.
- FRUIT:- APPLES, APRICOTS, AVOCADOS, GRAPEFRUIT, GRAPES, LEMONS, MELONS, NECTARINES, ORANGES, PEACHES, PEARS, PLUMS, POMEGRANATES, SOFT CITRUS, STRAWBERRIES VEGETABLES:- ARTICHOKES, ASPARAGUS, AUBERGINES, CABBAGE, CALABRESE, CAPSICUMS, CARROTS, CAULIFLOWER, CELERY, COURGETTES, CUCUMBERS, ENDIVES, GARLIC, GREEN BEANS, LETTUCE, POTATOES, ONIONS, TOMATOES.
- About the only thing they don't grow are parsnips. Of course the produce is fresher here, in Spain, and cheaper !!! This week in the market tomatoes were selling at 5 kilos for 1 euro, about 67p. Cauliflowers were 3 for 1 euro. Runner beans were 50 centimos per kilo and so forth. If I spend more than 5 euros the seller also gives a bag of fresh herbs for free. The prices here show just how much the supermarkets rip you off in the U.K. The Spanish just will not pay the price. Do your self a favour and move to Spain before you go broke in the U.K.
