  1. of course you can...
  2. actually you should give it everyday, it's very good for them! we feed our guinea pig 4 baby carrots a day
  3. fruits and veggie are very good for their health you can feed that to them every day and you eat some while you are feed them. It's also good for your health
  4. Not so sure about guinea pigs, but rabbits should be fed fresh vegetables everyday along with hay and pellets. I would stay away from the cabbage and rabbits should never have iceburg lettuce but romaine, kale, turnip greens, mustard greens, collard greens, broccoli, cilantro, mint ,parsley, carrots, bell peppers, apples, and grapes are all good for rabbits. I believe generally the same list is good for the guinea pig as well, just not sure if they require daily veggies, but rabbits definitely should get daily veggies. It is extremely important for their digestion. Hope this helps! Best of luck!
  5. you have a guineapig... yet you do not know that it is ESSENTIAL that they have fresh veg in their diet every day!?! guineapigs are like humans and apes, they cannot make their own vitamin C in their body, hence they have to get it from their food as otherwise they end up with skin conditions such as skurvy. guineapigs NEED this veg every day. every care sheep on the internet will tell you that!
  6. I feed my rabbit fruits and veggies daily P.S. they might like clover
  7. Yes if you do it every day it is very healthy for him or her and the or she will grow to be a very good strong healthy gunia pig
  8. it was suggested by the breeder of my otter rex rabbit (and our vet) that if you give your pets the complete dry food not to give too many greens as it can give them a bad tummy (to stop the runs giving them a small amount of stale bread is good). but a couple times a week would be fine. if you look on the inetrnet it will tell you all about it. im afriad the GP's i dont know about as i never had one, all i know is my step mum gives it veg everyday and its till alive. if in doubt grass will do!
  9. yes you can, just make sure you give them things other can carrots and cabbage etc. Have a look at the link it's a list of safe foods rabbits can eat, think guinea pigs can eat it too but you may have to look it up.
  10. Course you can, rabbits and guinea pigs get a lot of their nutrients from fresh veg. However, don't give your rabbit too much lettuce as it gives them a upset stomach and may makes them ill, but your guinea pig should be fine. :)
  11. Best diet for rabbits is 90% hay or grass. 5% pellets, and 5% green veg. lectuce bad for rabbits as it gives them the runs and they need to re eat their soft pellets. ( a form of re gurgitation) They cant eat runny stools! Over feeding upsets their system. Natural food is best. Carrots high in sugar and should only be given as a treat once or twice a week at most.
  12. you can give fresh veg everyday, but if they are not used to it i would start with a small amount as they have delicate digestive systems. when they are used to it a good sized handful each evening is enough. if they have a reaction to any type of veg dont give it them again, and introduce new veg a tiny piece per day. it is also important they have lots and lots of hay at all times to help keep their digestive system healthy and to keep their teeth trim.
  13. yes tht's good for them, as is for humans!
